Current Favorite Song on Repeat: Creep'in In

norah jones feels like home, creep'in inOn Friday's, I usually try to focus on one client for a really long time. Usually I do things like code a newsletter, or analyze website traffic and make recommendations. So this Friday, I bought a Norah Jones album I didn't have yet, Feels Like Home, and I'm just tickled by a duet with Dolly Parton in the song Creep'in In! This album has been in repeat for about 5 times now in iTunes, and I get so happy with the song comes on...I might need to find a Dolly Parton album to buy. The Backwoods Barbie album cover looks fun.

Juno Soundtrack ROCKS - So Happy Sounding

Juno soundtrack cover artI'm close to finishing my bookkeeping for 2007 taxes, and I've accidentally turned on my new Juno soundtrack in my iPod, and now I'm just happily bouncing through other people's websites, spitting out ideas for other people's websites, calling people with ways to live in New York and Somewhere Else at the same time. I say that I accidentally turned on Juno because I have a bad tendency to listen to albums on repeat, all...day...long. It sort of sets the mood for whatever I'm doing, and then I can consistently work that way. Plus, I was waiting for happy time when I could relax and just listen to Juno all day. Yesterday it was Cat Stevens, Teaser and the Firecat, while I calmly balanced projects. But, today I was up early, thanks to Gerdy's latest bathroom bouts because she's been eating the cat food, so was on the phone (the iPhone). When I pressed the talk button on my ear buds, Juno turned on. Juno is now the only album in my iPhone because when I went to add it to the iPhone, I did it wrong (never been very good at that) and switched out all albums for Juno. Hence, I accidentally turned it on, and now can't turn it off.

The best part about it is the surprise song, Anyone Else But You, sung by the movie's stars, Michael Cera and Ellen Page. What a well cast movie. I just want to eat up Michael Cera's character. It goes without saying that Ellen Page was just amazing on so many levels.

You can totally get the Juno CD at Amazon. I had to get it at Barnes and Noble b/c I don't know if iTunes carries soundtracks. Same with Cat Steven's Teaser.

"1234" or "one two three four" From iPod Nano Commercial - Feist - Great Album!

The lovely 1234 song singer is Feist! First name Leslie. Love this song from the iPod Nano commercial! It's been in my head all day, so I found it in iTunes and bought the album - The Reminder. It's beautiful. The album lives up to Feist's break out song 1,2,3,4. Check it out, and check out "The Park" if you haven't heard it yet.

I didn't realize it, but David and I have been under a rock about her - Leslie Feist - of Feist. David is researching Leslie Feist online, and finding the most from a New York Times feature article on her. We learned that she injured her vocal chords, which is when and why she learned to play the guitar; she's been in the indie scene for a while; she played drums and other instruments for other bands until realizing she just had to play for her own band; that she held lots of odd jobs including one at a flower shop; and that she called her dad before making the 1234 video to excitedly tell him she was going to dance in a video that was inspired by the movie Fame. Here are some good links:

Bunches of people are searching for 1 2 3 4 from Feist, according to Yahoo
Virb.com for Feist photos

Check out Feist albums in Amazon. Learn more about The Reminder from Amazon too.

And here is the "chocolate" cell phone commercial from Verizon featuring My Moon My Man, also on Feist's The Reminder album (I can feel the competition Verizon is feeling from Apple!):

New Dreamy Folk Singer - Joshua Radin

joshua radinMistas, may I introduce you (if you don't already know) to a dreamy new folk singer, Joshua Radin. Yes, he's from Cleveland. Not only that, Joshua Radin is from my hometown and his lovely younger sister was my "Jinny Jinny!" to her "Kitty Kitty!" All of her friends had secret crushes on him. Seems he's crushing many hearts! Hear Joshua on iTunes, where last I heard, he was the most downloaded new folk artist...

Play his video for "Closer", which is a really sweet song, directed by Zach Braff (yum!). When you hear him say "Thanksss..." just know that that's a very hearty, Midwestern "Thanks." I think it's legal to post this, since it's on his website and YouTube and who knows where else. Catch him again in a duete, "Paperweight" with Schuyler Fisk for Braff's next feature, "The Last Kiss." This is going to be a great soundtrack, which includes Coldplay, Fiona Apple, Aimee mann and Rufus Wainwright.

Visit JoshuaRadin.com - and actually get into a forum about him.

PS: did I mention that I really like Zach Braff? And I think that Joshua may have had a song on Scrubs, b/c the Scrubs soundtrack is coming up in Amazon for Joshua Radin. Way to go, hometown!
